Assistance Mission for Africa (AMA) is a Christian Non-Governmental Organization with vision for Africa. It’s registered with Ministry of Legal Affairs and Constitution Development, Government of Southern Sudan and with Kenya NGOs Bureau. AMA has a board of directors with international outlook constituted in the year 2002. The board meets twice a year to; plan and innovate, organize and configure, implement and realize, and execute goals of AMA.
A society where there is justice, hence communities and churches are self actualizing and there is development for all.
3. AMA Mission;
AMA exists to build the capacity of communities including churches to ensure there is peace equity and unity of purpose in upholding the Christian faith, accountability and transparency.
4. AMA Geographic Areas.
AMA has made a purposeful choice to focus in the geographic region of Greater Upper Nile, Greater Bar-el- Ghazal and may expand to other areas and countries in future.
5. AMA Strategic Objectives;
5.1 Focusing on securing livelihood of communities through intervention aimed at food sovereignty including access to clean water and secured sanitation for communities we work with.
5.2 Focusing on securing the well being of communities through interventions aimed at mitigating the effects and impacts of HIV and AIDs, and health facilities infrastructural development and nutrition.
5.3 Focusing on empowering communities through enhancing their systems and structures, and education for good governance sustainability through developing education infrastructure, training in good governance and partnership with other actors particularly the government.
5.4 Focusing on rehabilitation and reintegration through development of employment opportunities particularly for youth and assisting the returnees to settle.
5.5 Focusing on information sharing empowerment through information technology especially –information sharing, harnessing the current technological advancement for
AMA growth for e-rural development and community organizations.
5.7 To further the vision, Mission and values and protect AMA identity and to harness energy and resources for formidable development organization.

7. AMA capacity;
AMA boasts of a number of tangible and intangible assets;
Ø Drilling rig and the accompanying accessories including land cruiser pick up.
Ø Three motor bikes including a ATV.
Ø Two Trucks .
Ø Hydra foam block making machines.
Ø Five bases Bentiu, leer, Thornyor , Warrap and Juba.
Ø AMA has its head office in Juba and liaisons office in Nairobi..
Ø Fourteen partners-Pact Sudan, UNICEF, WFP , World bank, IOM, GOSS, DIFID (BSF), CHF-UNDP, SCF-UK, Faith Action, , Government of unity state especially in ministry of education, , NPC, western upper Nile NGO council, South Sudan NGO Forum, .
Ø Good relations with government of south Sudan.
Ø Excellent understanding of local context and analysis with 73% Sudanese staff and good partnership with communities in the states.
